Since 2000 we have helped hundreds of students begin and continue on their musical journey. We are one of the largest music academies in the Greater Lansing area, offering private lessons in all popular instruments, as well as voice. We know you are busy and it can be very hard to find a reliable music teacher. That's why we go above and beyond to find the BEST music teachers in the Greater Lansing area--so you don't have to!
Our staff consists of experienced music teachers, capable of teaching all ages and levels. We constantly renovate and improve our facilities as well as provide on-going support to our instructors to ensure we are always providing our students and parents with the best possible musical experience.
While you're researching the best school for you, consider the benefits of becoming an Okemos Music Academy student and find out why we are the Greater Lansing area's number one choice for music lessons!
16 Benefits of Becoming an Academy Student:
1. Lessons for piano, guitar, voice, ukulele, bass, drums, violin, viola, saxophone, flute, clarinet, trumpet, french horn, trombone and more!
This saves our students time and money, as one family can take multiple instruments on the same day. Other studios offer multiple instruments, but we are the only one to offer all of the most popular instruments in a high quality, convenient environment. We welcome all beginners and all levels--no matter what your age! 2. Family Safety Plan
At Okemos Music Academy our parents never have to worry about the safety of their child and always have the peace of mind that the music lesson experience is going to be very rewarding and a lot of fun! Therefore, we have created a family safety plan. Our family safety plan includes these 6 features:
3. Fully qualified faculty who will teach you the songs you want to learn. We have over 20 music teachers, all with either University training or professional performance experience. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal goals and helping you to achieve them. With several music teachers for every instrument, we are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your needs. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly, and are dedicated to teaching you the style of music you want to learn. 4. The Singers Edge Program. We are the only music school in the Greater Lansing Area using this powerful 4 level lesson book series designed to help all singers of all ages, who are interested in popular singing, achieve their goals by developing "effortless-sounding" skills from the ground up. |

8. Free, all-inclusive, optional recitals so that your family & friends can share in your musical journey.
Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital.
Every May and December, our students have the option of performing in our recitals. Students are not required to perform, but many choose to. Parents never have to pay admission or any related fees for recitals.

12. Trophies, certificates and award wristbands to celebrate achievement.
We are the only music school in the Lansing area that gives their students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests. Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool “Musical Ladder” wristbands that they can show off to their friends. The Musical Ladder is our unique method of music education that you can only get here. More importantly when our students have a test coming up, they practice more, their parents are proud, their teachers are proud, and everybody wins. You can only get the Musical Ladder here. We also specialize in music lessons for adults. 13. 100 FREE Parking spots. Unlike other music schools in the area who charge for parking, parking at Okemos Music Academy is always free. We have one of the largest parking lots in the area with easy in and out for our busy families with tight schedules. |
14. Two unique Drum Zones! The OMA Drum Zones, just for drummers, in their own area in two great sized rooms! Stop driving your neighbors crazy and bring your Kids to the OMA Drum Zones. 15. Month to Month Lessons! Our desire is to inspire our students with the love of music. We do this through teachers and music that our students love. Unlike other programs, we do not require semester minimums for lessons. You can begin anytime! To stop lessons, we just need a 30 day notice. 16. Fun Family Friendly Waiting Area! Our waiting room is perfect for students, siblings, and parents. Our TV is always playing favorite kids' shows, we have a homework/activity area, books, and plenty of seating! If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose as we only want students who truly want to be here and we will never commit you to a long-term contract. |
